Letter from Loved One

The little mouse leaped with joy! For she received a letter from her little loved one far, far away. A letter from her little beloved “daughter”. Yes, you heard that right, her “DAUGHTER”. Well, ok, not exactly her “daughter” kinda “daughter”. Little Seaklim is the little mouse’s sponsored child. Which means, Seaklim is a child whom the little mouse commits to provide monthly provision to. 50 Dil, to be precise, each month. A little price to pay for the joy of helping a child in need.

Little Seaklim wrote:

Dear little mouse,

I’m was happy to recived a letter and a sticker. I’m well. I do not attend school yet. Because I am to young. I will go to school when I am 6 years old. I enjoy to play with my friends near my house. How are you and you family? In my country the weather is hot too. Because this is the dry season. I thank you for sent me a letter and photo to me. I wish you prosperity.

Thank from: Seaklim

Aww… Isn’t she sweeeeeet??? And she’s just 5 years old. Go on, get yourself a son or a daughter :) You never know the differences you can make in their life!

Dancing Shoes

A mission she embarked with a friend,
On one bright sunny weekend,
In search for a shoe for her dancing delight,
So she could dance from morn’ till twilight.

To the land of Cheras, off they go,
In search of a shoe-maker that many told,
Taman Midah may not be a mine of gold,
But San Lee Shoe Shop must they behold.

Uncle Shoe-Maker humble as can be,
Though attending customer, busy as a bee,
Tips and advices he throws in for free,
On selecting good shoes for dancer wanna-be (me!).

Yes, a pair of shoe finally she ordered,
One with dark grey painted all over,
And two purple strips on the cover,
And shimmering dust glittering all over.

Mozart Indulgence

The little mouse finally has decided to abandon Beethoven for Mozart. Yes, the gentle looking Mozart beats the agonized, lion-haired Beethoven in winning her mousie heart! On top of that, actually, the little mouse could not get the Beethoven tickets. Still, the little mouse prefers Mozart’s piano sonatas.

Ladies, which do you prefer?

Neat hair guy?

Messy hair guy?

Beethoven Concerto

After missing Beethoven piano concerto, the little mouse insist and persist on going to watch Beethoven violion concerto, though she does prefer piano more.

Some enlightenment from dear Mr. Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beethoven

Ludwig van Beethoven (baptized December 17, 1770[1] – March 26, 1827) was a German composer. He is generally regarded as one of the greatest composers in the history of music, and was the predominant figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western classical music. His reputation and genius have inspired — and in many cases intimidated — ensuing generations of composers, musicians, and audiences. While primarily known today as a composer, he was also a celebrated virtuoso pianist and conductor, and an accomplished violinist.

Born in Bonn, Germany, he moved to Vienna, Austria, in his early twenties, and settled there, studying with Joseph Haydn and quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. In his late twenties he began to lose his hearing gradually, and yet he continued to produce notable masterpieces throughout his life, even when his deafness was almost total. Beethoven was one of the first composers who worked as a freelance — arranging subscription concerts, selling his compositions to publishers, and gaining financial support from a number of wealthy patrons — rather than being permanently employed by the church or by an aristocratic court.

Dance Information Online

Good central location to everything (well, almost) you want to know about dancing.

-> http://www.knowledgehound.com/topics/dance.htm
Basically this is a central portal to various dancing web sites. Has many links to web sites on dances from ballroom, latin, hip hop, rock & rol, ballet, break dance, etc, and even web sites on general information on dancing.

-> http://www.ballroomdancers.com
My favourite hang out site. Loaded with dancing resources and information. Allows you to learn how to dance easily via step-by-step video (yes, video streaming on dance steps!), listen some sample dance music, buy/sell dancing apparel, etc.

Unlocking Miracles

Dancing class was fun! Learn new steps, dance to the new beat. And yes, since the little mouse has yet to buy her purple dancing shoes, her feet are literally screaming for help.

“Ya,” said the little mouse, “I can hear my toes lamenting. But I am enjoying every beat! Woo hoo~”

And yes, she STILL has two left feet. And yes, she still holds her breathe when she dances.

“Breathe… You need to BREATHE!” exclaimed her dance instructor. Most probably because he do not want the trouble of dragging her unconscious body out of the space floor if she ever pass out.

The highlight was not only the dance, but also after the dance class.

It was late. And not to mention dark. There were only two of them; namely the little mouse and one of her friend from the dancing class. They were on paying the parking fee, when suddenly…

*cheng* *cheng* *cheng*

Another of her dancing friend, Trisie-Wisie, came to pay her parking fee as well. Haha! Got you… OK, back to story…

The little mouse and her friend waved to greet her.
Trisie-Wisie excited to see them.
Trisie-Wisie waved back.
Trisie-Wisie stepped out of her car.
Trisie-Wisie closed her car door…

Uh oh! Her car is still running. Her car key was still inside her car. And her car door was locked!

Spare keys, no. Locksmith, it was too late at night. Parking attendants, they looked like they are running away from them. Great, now what are they going to do. Attempt to break in, of course! So, there were three of them, in the empty parking lot, attempting to pull out parts from her car.

Then, a car passed by. Ohh… it was their dance instructor. He went off, but thank God he came back.

“Oh my,” he said, “how could this happened. And the car’s engine is still running. Ok, let me try. I have done this a few times.” Hmm… broken into cars a few times. Ironically, the statement seems assuring.

So, now there were four of them in the empty parking lot. He tried using a long steel, which he “extracted” from the car’s wipers, to unlock by sliding into door. But the steel was rather flimsy and short. Thus, after numerous attempts, they switched to Plan B, i.e.: breaking the window…

As the he was trying to “pull off” the car’s window, the little mouse and Trisie-Wisie attempt to unlock the door using her house door key. Yes, her house key. But as she attempt to thrust the key into the key hole, the little mouse noticed the door was opened!

“A miracle!” the dance instructor exclaimed. And yes, thank God! None of them really knew how the door suddenly became unlocked, but thank God indeed!

And so, it was a great experience for the little mouse. Not just that she had learnt new dance steps, but learnt, too, on how to break into cars. And of course she learnt that God is a god of miracles. No obstacle is too big for Him to overcome. No concern is too small for Him to care.

Yes, Lord. Make us awe! Amen.

Phantom of the Opera

Counting down two more months till watching Phantom of the Opera LIVE on stage! Yes, the little mouse and her chipmunk friend bought tickets to watch her ever so loved musical stage performance, staging down south in Lioncity. Oh, for her love on musicals, especially this! A dream come true indeed! The excitement and the anticipation!

That is why...

Her little friend is constantly reminding her to behave herself. And not, I repeat NOT, to sing along every song. The little mouse is very, very capable of that. Mind you, maybe she'll dance too. Yes, you heard that right. So, let's keep her in prayer, that she will be in her best behaviour, amen :)
